Envy...

Have you ever watched this movie, Envy, by Ben Stiller?

The plot:

Tim and Nick (played by Stiller and Black) are best friends who are also neighbors and co-workers at 3M. Nick is constantly coming up with crazy ideas to get rich quick, and when he invents Vapoorize, a spray that instantly removes dog feces, he actually succeeds. As Nick's wealth continues to grow, so does Tim's envy, as he had initially scoffed at the idea and squandered an opportunity to invest $2,000 and become mega-rich himself. Nick is blissfully unaware of Tim's jealousy, and his generosity only serves to make Tim more envious of him.

Tim's jealousy reaches new levels after J-Man (played by Walken), a bizarre drifter, decides to become his adviser. After a drunken night out, Tim accidentally kills his neighbor's beloved horse, Corkey, and straight away tries to hide the body so Nick does not find out. With the help of J-Man, he succeeds in this, but his jealousy continues to grow, as does Tim's wife's anger - she blames him for them not being rich like their friends.

One night, Nick reveals that he is going to Rome for the debut of Vapoorize there, and gives Tim the opportunity to now join him in a 50/50 partnership. J-Man finds out that Tim is now rich, and immediately tries to gain from this, but fails when Tim shoots another arrow off towards his house and strikes J-Man in the back.

At the end of the film, Corkey is seen floating down a river behind a press conference, and the animal hospital must do tests on him to reveal how he died. It is found that the horse was actually poisoned - Corkey used to eat the apples off Tim's tree, and do his business there. They used Vapoorize to rid their yard of this, and this is what has killed Corkey. Straight away Vapoorize is pulled from the shelves in all stores, and Nick and Tim almost lose all their wealth and glory - until Tim comes up with an invention of his own - Pocket Flan, inspired by Nick and his family's love for the dessert. J-Man is shown at the end of the film in the audience of Tim and Nick's infomercial for Pocket Flan.

If I were Tim, I will feel the same way when a friend of mine build a big mansion in front of my little house. For me, Tim wasn't only felt jealous, but somehow he felt small in compared with his friend. He's hurt. Why I share this story? I'm not sure.

You can be "Tim" or "Nick". The characters are common and we can find them everywhere in life. Sometimes you'll become one of them too. But I think one of the best things that a friend should probably do is be aware of other friend's feelings. Instead of building a big mansion or a horse stable or a bowling alley inside the house, one should also concentrate on his soft skills. You might say, it is his life/house thus it is his decision to do anything he wants. Yeah, maybe I was wrong.

Or maybe "Tim" should change his perspectives. With so much negativity, he won't be able to step forward.

Hud [11:47] : Noah said: "O my Lord! I do seek refuge with thee from asking thee for that of which I have no knowledge. And unless Thou forgive me and have Mercy on me, I should indeed be lost!"

Syafiah's latest look...

I keep on losing my words. However, still insisting to write and share Syafiah's wonderful experience with our loyal reader. And I lost words today too, especially after receiving a news from a parent of one of Syafiah's friends. Sridar passed away this morning. I cried, was feeling like losing my own child.

Remember this entry? That would be the last time we met him. I want to pay a visit to HSB to meet Selvi, but definitely I know I can't be there. She cried on the phone while talking to me. Car is with my husband. Not to forget with the swine flu pandemic, HSB is definitely a high risk area.

Back to my miracle, Syafiah met Dr. Roliza this morning as scheduled. The appointment was scheduled to check on her condition after she went to DEMC last Thursday.

Her weight increased to 7.9kg compared to 7.5kg last week. She's now healthier, left only a little mucus and she'll cough once a while. She finished her antibiotics on Monday and Fluhalt pills this morning. No wheezing. Smiling, giggling and talkative like always.

Her teeth came out at the same time. They are bottom left lateral incisor plus 2 molars, on which they caused her uneasiness. Not to say that she's cranky but she always talks loudly to express her feelings.

Few photos to share with you:

Recently captured by my niece, Anis.

Today's photos.

Thanks to all the prayers!

p.s. Kang termakan hak orang lain pulak. Tapi bak kata cik suami, wang sumber lain tak pe.. hihi! Dasar!!

FB brings back the memories...

Sorry, dear friends.. I was really occupied 'godeking' a friend's virtual house until I neglected my own blog. I was bloghopping too but I haven't had the chance to leave a trail.

I spent my time in FB too. Let me share a picture that I found in one of a friends' account. Nampak daku macam sweet je gitu.. hahaha.. perasan..:

Cuba teka saya yang mana satu? Amaran untuk sedara-mara, sepupu-sepapat & adik-beradik tak termasuk dalam peraduan teka gambar ini! Honestly, I haven't changed much physically (mentally included :P). Hehe...

I went to A**s' house few times. It's located in Taman Melawati. I couldn't remember much about this event but I know it was her birthday. I even bought a bed sheet at Alpha Angle one time I went to her house (now became my brother-in-law's property) and tagged her along to Pulau Besar, Melaka. Nak dekat time exam plak tu.. huhu!

I'm so happy to find few old time buddies in FB. Love to look at the familiar faces & photos, knowing news from each other. Seems like a flashback. Definitely, "A moment lasts all of a second, but the memory lives on forever." Ah.. banyak lagilah memori lain kalo nak cerita...

Unfortunately, A**s is facing a trial now. Hope she could make it through. Allah swt is there for all of us. Hanging there. He knows the best for us too. InsyaAllah there'll be a better plan for you. Jangan sedih² k!

p.s. : Hubby and I both joined FB. Sama² chat, sama² main Barn Buddy.. hahaha!

Back to school and outing again...

Yesterday, I went out with my husband in the morning to a secondary school in our area. It's the sport day for my daughter's kinder. I asked Adam to join us but he refused. He said he wanted to sleep.

Remind me a lot of those days. I miss my school and definitely my friends.

A pom-pom girl who wears a pink ribbon.

With her Einstein's classmates.

Six years old students (green cap) who could still recognize me very well.

Music please...!

"I like to move it.. move it..". So proud of her. Seems like she could dance without following her friends beside and she moved with steps and rhythm confidently. You go, my girl! Dia ni nampak senyap je. Might be coming from the gene of her mother.. hahaha...

Run my girl run..!

One of her best friends - Hani Zulaikha with the Principal - Teacher Emy.

Sometimes, I just need space for myself (without my husband and kids. Alhamdulillah cik abang memahami). One of the things I would like to do is going outdoor. It's kind of a release when I could see other faces, the different environment instead of being a wife and mom at home. If we want to play outdoor, bowling is definitely one of the games I prefer.

In the afternoon, I followed Awa, her husband and friends - Salmah. Cda (another friend) and Faris were attending to wedding course, who later joined us at Plaza Alam Sentral. Awa was searching for the latest novel by Norhayati Berahim - Aku Bukan Billy Miligan. I'm not a novel lover, however, I felt in love with Arenawati's masterpieces. Sangat best ok. Anyway, Salmah and Cda stayed the whole weekend with us too.

Awa with her favorite book author.

After that, lepak sat kat BA. Sambil minum Americano dan donat.

I love the last one.

We played 3 games of bowling too. Got 4 strikes and several more spares. Ok sket la dari minggu sebelumnya.

Jeff, me and Salmah.

3 out of 6 best friends.

Sebelum balik, Jeff bought a bed and mattress by Vono too. Pas ni tido lena la dia orang. Aku jugak la yang dok pakai Narita jadi orang Jepun.. hahaha...

p.s. : Pesanan khidmat masyarakat. Kalo nak keluar atau even dok rumah, sila makan atau minum air buah bervitamin C yang tinggi banyak². Contohnya macam air kiwi. I mean yang original tau. Tak nak jus/kordial tu. Rindunya air kiwi kat KJ Seafood.

Move on..

I'm moving on. Leaving all the unhappy memories behind. Yeah.. yeah! I'm unpredictable individual. Yesterday, I was really down. It was up to blocking the access to this blog on the morning, and I have thought on deleting it or be on a hiatus mode. Or perhaps I can change the URL, as long as I have registered to Google search engine, I don't mind! Next day I know, I could stand strong and forget what has happened to me for the last few days.

I stand and hold on to my motto - "You should have the ability to turn adversities into something positive". This statement was actually given by a dear blogger friend for me for my last year's entry. Quoted from the original statement:

I am truly speechless after reading this piece of yours…your ability to turn adversities into something positive is very inspirational (to say the least)…well done!

I love his statement. It is a very well explanation on my attitude, and perhaps explained why I could face on Syafiah's fates calmly (alhamdulillah) *kembang makcik dari tahun lepas sampai tahun ni masih tak mau surut :P perasan betul!*.

And thanks to Dayah who wrote an entry about me yesterday. A nice inspiring poem. Really appreciate it. As well as fellow bloggers who gave me advices and comments, no matter if the comments are negative or positive.

I'm not a perfect person indeed!

p.s. : Thanks for those who are concerned about me, who tried to contact and sms me. You know who you are. A friend in need is a friend indeed!
